Rabbi Shimon Cohen of Ashdod, 67, Rosh Yeshivas Torah Ohr collapsed during shachris on Sunday morning. Despite advanced CPR resuscitation, the rosh yeshiva was niftar.
The niftar was a mechutin of Beersheva Chief Rabbi Yehuda Deri and Shas MK David Azoulai. The levaya began at 12:30 from the yeshiva, in Rova Aleph in Ashdod followed by kvura in the city’s beis hachaim.
