The Manhattan DA’s office has dropped its investigation into former disgraced New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s handling of nursing homes in the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“I was told that after a thorough investigation — as we have said all along — there was no evidence to suggest that any laws were broken,” a Cuomo spokesman said.
The probe into Cuomo’s handling of nursing homes was initiated by former Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance Jr., who closed the probe last Thursday, just before he retired from the office.
Cuomo has received withering criticism for issuing a directive that forced nursing homes to admit Covid-19 infected patients despite the facilities holding many high-risk patients. Independent studies have shown that the directive possibly caused thousands of avoidable deaths.
“Letting Cuomo off the hook is a bad way to start 2022,” Vivian Zayas, co-founder of Voices For Seniors, whose mother, Ana Martinez, died of COVID while in a nursing rehab facility, told the NY Post.
“Fifteen thousand people lost their lives in nursing homes. It doesn’t look like prosecutors are taking this seriously. They’re basically protecting Cuomo… We are disappointed in our judicial system.”

They need more resources to find dirt on Trump.
Well, of course. Black male DA, Alvin Bragg has got to concentrate on finding something wrong with former President Trump’s personal tax returns dating back from 1978. Citizens being beaten by black thugs are okay. It’s those dangerous Trump tax returns that are causing so much stress to the average citizen. Who can sleep comfortably at night knowing that those dangerous tax returns are lurking around?!
Poor Cuomo!! people picked on this innocent man, who never bothered a fly. All these stories are made up.. plus let’s not forget has a D in front of his name. We will need to compensate him for making up false stories on this good man

He should drop his Trump investigation which have started after media reports about President trump’s tax returns and instead investigate Cuomo for his wrong doings with the nursing homes and with his book….

Nursing homes were never equipped to take care of sick patients. When a person in a nursing home gets ill they are sent TO a hospital. Cuomo reversed this. He sent SICK people to a nursing home. He sent money also so that the home would take these people.
But…Trump sent us two alternatives to this madness which Cuomo completely ignored due to politics. We got a large Hospital ship AND a Javits Center Hospital from the Federal government which BOTH went virtually empty the entire time they were in operation. The COVID patients should have filled up these two places instead of being sent to nursing homes. But that would have given credence to Trump and Cuomo could not allow that. Pure politics. Cuomo should be frying in hot oil for this travesty.
Criminal justice works very well for politicians who are allied with the prosecutor.
I guess they felt badly about Antiochus’s ignominious fall from politics.
He is not off the hook from the real one who runs the world, and does not take politics, or bribery into consideration…………………..
The Manhattan DA, as an accomplice to Cuomo will burn with him in the same hellish fire. Justice will prevail without him.
