A frum MTA attendant was seen learning in a booth at the subway station on 55th Street. At times when he wasn’t busy, he would open his sefer and listen to a shiur.
An incredible kiddush hashem and lesson for us all.

Why is this a “Kiddush Hashem?” It’s a חיוב that we all have.
If he would work for a frum employer, he’d be fired.
“The Frumguy”:
Contrary to popular belief that impressing goyim is the greatest Kiddush Hashem, this is, in fact, a greater Kiddush Hashem.
He could make any number of excuses to not learn during this time but instead pushes himself to do so. Anytime someone pushes themselves to serve Hashem, that is a Kiddush Hashem.

@Bklyntrucker: Wrong, he probably just wouldn’t learn if there was actual work to do. But I don’t think there are too many Frum employers who would fire someone if they learn when there otherwise isn’t anything else to do during that time. So you’re wrong about this. Finally, one nice story on YWN and you try to ruin it…
