Thousands of holiday shoppers, tourists and business people in Midtown Manhattan Wednesday witnessed the sculpting and lighting of a 12 foot ice menorah in front of Chabad of Midtown Manhattan, COL Live reports.

according to the report, with the help of chainsaws, chisels and large ice bricks, professional “ice men” sculpted the tall, exquisite ice menorah.

Rabbi Yehoshua Metzger of Chabad of Midtown climbed a ladder to kindle the lanterns and made the blessings before the large crowd.
