There are 2 points.
When someone is given a gun and a badge and swears to uphold law and order they better be ready to act in a professional manner 24/7. Most police do this.
1) Don’t we want the police to be more careful in the future before they pull the trigger to be 100% positive that they are holding a taser and not a gun? Didn’t we always want that ?
I was listening yesterday to a talk show host Jeff Ferguson (for 5 minutes before I couldn’t take his lying and stupidity) and he incredibly felt that 3 to 6 months in jail was enough punishment for a policeman accidentally killing an innocent person.
2) Can police do whatever they want without any repercussions by threatening to not work effectively? Can police act improperly but get away with it by other police covering up for them?
If the answer to these questions is yes, then BLM are 100% correct. Police can assassinate innocent civilians without fear of justice. That is a major problem with police in America.
I am all for the police doing their jobs but they must be held accountable when they mess up.
