Two Long Island teens have been charged as juveniles for allegedly vandalizing a menorah.
The damage to the 8-foot-tall menorah was discovered around 5:30 a.m. Monday at the Raynor County Park in Ronkonkoma.
Two 15-year-old boys from Lake Ronkonkoma were arrested on Wednesday. They were charged as juveniles with criminal mischief and released to their parents.
The Ronkonkoma Chamber of Commerce, which had displayed the menorah, estimated the cost of the damage at $2,000.
Suffolk County police say two of the arms supporting the lights were removed and the light bulbs were broken.
