A Jerusalem light rail security agent on Monday afternoon 29 Kislev 5774 tried to check out an Arab passenger. He reacted belligerently and the situation deteriorated rapidly as many Arab pedestrians witnessing the event came to the man’s side. This is a growing trend as Arabs in the capital are less willing to respond to questioning by security personnel of late, creating a new issue for law-enforcement personnel.

The security agent called for assistance and in a short time there were many security agents facing off against the rowdy Arabs as police were responding. The event did get physical and ultimately a number of arrests were made.
