Inna Kern, 84, told Israel Radio on Monday that since Samir Kuntar murdered members of her family in 1979, she has been living with the pain and there is absolutely no reason the government should have agreed to his release in exchange for dead bodies.
Kern, a grandmother of the children murdered by Kuntar, was pained and perhaps angered that no one bothered to ask for her opinion regarding Kuntar’s release, stating that while she did not wish to enter into details of the case, she disagrees with her daughter who on Sunday sent a letter to cabinet ministers releasing them of any guilt for voting to release Kuntar is they believe it is the correct thing to do.
Inna questioned the validity of sentencing a terrorist to multiple life terms in prison only to turn around and permit him to leave a free man.
