Israeli Father Vaccinates His Kids, Wife Files For Divorce

An Israeli resident of Holon recently took his two children, 12-year-old twins, to get vaccinated against COVID despite the fact that his wife is an adamant anti-vaxxer.

The wife, who is active in various anti-vax groups and describes her husband as an “anxious hypochondriac,” was furious when she found out what her husband did.

At the advice of her lawyer, she filed a police complaint against her husband for violating her children’s autonomy and harming their health.

She then took her children to her parent’s house and initiated divorce proceedings against her husband.

The woman’s attorney, Inbar Lev, said: “I personally am in favor of vaccinating against COVID and I’m also convinced of the need to vaccinate children, but my personal opinion doesn’t prevent me from representing a woman whose parental rights were violated when her husband unilaterally decided to vaccinate their children. This is an act of violence.”

  1. How Irrational:
Every “Omicron” “case” is in a VACCINATED person.
It’s simply a mild variant that is infecting Vaccinated people.
Unvaccinated people are not getting it.
Yet they continue the maniacal PAID$$$ pushing of these ineffective Clot Shots.

  2. Even such a story you use to promote the narrative.
The mother is an “Adamant antivaxxer.”
The lawyer disagrees with her… even to vaxxing children.
Is there no other way to depict this story?
Perhaps she is a concerned mother?
Perhaps we should wonder what the point is of jabbing people every 4-6 months with a so-called vaccine which gives no immunity?
Why oh why are we jabbing children?
Not ONE healthy child died in the USA. Only (tragically) 500 +/- children of 74 million died. And they had serious comorbidities, such as immunity-compromised from chemo.
There are so many top doctors and professors who vehemently disagree. Why are we taking chances with our future?

  3. When in doubt, do no harm.

There is no documented benefit, yet shots do more harm than any good.

Halachically, it is wrong to do harm and inject a dangerous drug that has no benefit

  4. Avraham was following a Nevua, not CDC guidelines.

    What nonsense.

This is a couples personal issue, not international news.

  5. IT’S IRRESPONSIBLE AND DANGEROUS FOR YWN TO ALLOW ANTI VAXERS TO SPREAD THEIR LIES AND DISINFORMATION ON THIS SITE. MANY PEOPLE HAVE DIED BECAUSE THEY BELIEVED THIS NONSENSE.

  6. “Her lawyer is wrong because Avrohom also brought Yitzchok to the Akeido without the permission of Soroh”

Fortunately today, even in EY, anyone taking their child out to the desert and attempting a human sacrifice at G-d’s direction would either be charged with attempted murder or committed for life to a mental health institution.

  7. Legally he didnt need her permission.
The kids were 12 and not babies, apparently they wanted to vaccinate as well. (Have you ever tried to give a shot to a 12 year old who didnt want it?)
There is no evidence that he harmed them.
If she wants a divorce, I assume there are other issues at hand.

  8. Forget vax or no vax
Her husband did something he knew would make his wife really angry
He knew it’s something she felt strongly about and did it anyway
    So it’s his fault
If she had told him not to buy a new car and said it 100 times and explained why and on and on and he did anyway
She would feel so disrespected and like he doesn’t care about her
Same idea except now he’s possibly harming the children she loves

  9. Saul B, considering the ill effects of the vaccine, the father’s vaccinating the children is most definitely an act of violence.

147, everything you wrote is the complete opposite of אמת. Disgusting how you used לשון קודש to misappropriate righteousness.

ujb, a person has a right to divorce for any and even no reason. Any denial of such rights constitutes marital imprisonment and, therefore, abuse. But for the sake of your sick and misogynistic stance, inflicting non-consenting medical risk/harm upon one’s children would most assuredly qualify as legitimate grounds for divorce.

Rif, the default option is not vaccinating. Subjecting someone to the risks of the vaccine is what in this case entails unilateral parental abuse.

ader, your argument is non-sensical. Bringing Yitzchok onto the Akeida was a Divine command. Informing Sarah of what was happening may have been the menchlechkeit thing to do, but asking for her consent would have been uncalled for. The L-rd’s command was not subject to Sarah’s approval and/or consent.

apdsvys, why do you think the lawyer needs to see a shrink? Projection? It’s a totally legitimate case.

NAFTALICOLEMAN, MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ARE DEAD FROM COVID BECAUSE (CHEAP) LIFESAVING THERAPIES HAVE BEEN SUPPRESSED IN ORDER TO GET THE VAXES OUT. (CHECK FATALITY RATES IN AFRICA.) THE LIES AND DISINFORMATION BEING DISSEMINATED ARE FROM THE OFFICIAL SOURCES. CASES IN POINT WOULD INCLUDE THE MANY SEVERE ADVERSE REACTIONS, INCLUDING DEATH, THAT BOTH THE UNITED STATES AND ISRAELI GOVERNMENTS ARE ACTIVELY SUPPRESSING. A HARVARD STUDY ON THE MATTER ESTIMATES THAT ADVERSE REACTIONS ARE BEING UNDERREPORTED BY A FACTOR OF TEN!
ALSO, KEYPADS COME WITH A KEY THAT CAN DISPLAY LETTERS IN LOWER-CASE.

  10. Tomorrow this lawyer will represent all mothers whose fathers give their sons a bris milah. “I personally am in favor of bris milah, but my personal opinion doesn’t prevent me from representing a woman whose parental rights were violated when her husband unilaterally decided to circumcise their children. This is an act of violence.”

  11. The fact that this even made headlines at YWN is ridiculous. Come on! This is an issue between him and her. It’s really sad and pathetic, and this is indicative of our society- that a disagreement and divorce proceedings between ONE couple suddenly become international news.
    Oy.

  12. The number of people here who clearly don’t work in the medical field is very large as evidenced by their ignorant statements. COVID is a killer and vaccination is your best bet to avoid and survive it.

  13. Kudos to the father. Having such a wife is not much of a benefit in a marriage. Even Rav Chaim Kanievsky stated emphatically that children ages 5-12 should be vaccinated. It is the right thing to do. Sadly the children’s lives will be messed up forever because of the parents inability to work things out amicably. At least the father cared about the health and well-being of his children.

  14. Let’s peer beyond the surface of this story, it is not about what it seems.
Don’t be fooled to let a highly charged topic serve as smoke-and-mirrors:
No matter what the subject, this is about how two people are communicating through their actions, or not communicating. That is the issue at bay. The surreptitious ‘taking and doing’ heightened the tone and created further polarization. It could be that no matter who filed – the husband does not want to be married to the wife either, because he sensed the impact it may cause. For a wordless activity, it is a *loud* statement. It may be best all around, due to communication styles, for these people to have worked it out with help, or find a better situation.

To make this easier, pretend it’s about another medication, fairly new on the market.
One spouse has strong reasons pro, the other strong reasons against, especially re: the kids.
It is a life-altering medication, meaning, it can’t be un-done. How life-changing is unkown.

Knowing this, if the pro parent just does it against the second one’s will to their shared children,
a- there is a communication issue between these people that has implications that likely can be deeper than the subject that triggered it. In a healthier relationship, things are negotiated and resolved differently.
b- there is an aspect of coercion and manipulation, to simply ‘take’ children and do something to them (let’s assume they have the best interest in mind, it is still in a coercive manner by ‘just doing it’), and doing it without their spouse’s knowledge does not have the scent of harmony.
c- if there is such a severe disagreement between the two that the spouse will force their kids into something the other is opposed to, perhaps these people should not be married. Meaning, it’s not the subject, but rather, the way it is being dealt with that is at the crux of the matter
d- these are not toddlers. The children are twelve. They may have a say in the matter.
Why is their opinion not a factor? Why are they being coerced?
e- While the parent may have the best of intentions, there may be an aspect where these children have been put in the middle of a domestic dispute and slightly like pawns. This is not healthy home-wise. This action can potentially augment the situation and is not fair to them either. You may argue the wife’s taking the children away is the same, but hers is a response to an action, not an initiated one.
f- In case a reader gets caught on the filing, pretend it was he who was against, and she who took the kids behind her husband’s back. Still feel the same way? She’d be viewed as doing an act of insurrection.

The point: No matter what the subject, this is about how two people are communicating through their actions, or not communicating. That is the issue at bay. Covid is part of it, but it is not the central feature…it is just button to push it to the edge.

  15. Too many looney kazooneies in our community. leahlah go back to your kitchen and stop reading conspiracy theories on random websites. You are spouting way too much nonsense.

  16. “ujb, a person has a right to divorce for any and even no reason.”

Absolutely, positively, incorrect. Just crack open a Gemorah or Shulchan Aruch or sh”ut. Halacha is very clear and unambiguous that a request for divorce that has no halachicly justifiable basis that Halacha specifically recognizes as a valid “cause” permitting divorce, is to have the divorce request denied by the Beis Din if that’s what the husband desires.
