I come from a journalism background. Even if you can avoid devorim asurim, the cynicism is inevitable. Negative stories are popular – “if it bleeds it leads” is the common expression
But somehow we deluded ourselves that this is different.

Why anyone frum would even try to enter the field or journalism is beyond me. Thatโs why I like Ywn, they just copy and paste the news from other sites. Let the unstable idealogs do the leg work and YWN puts a nice spin on to keep me happy.

Like linking every article about Biden, Pelosi, or Obama to some really wierd and unflattering photos of their subject? At least there is no claim of “fair and balanced”.

any field is like that. Lawyers like challenging cases, doctors challenging operations, policemen – pursuing gruesome murderers, rebbes – complicated tosafos. all sometimes forget about human lives and tragedies involved.
On one hand, sometimes one needs to separate from emotions – otherwise a surgeon will not be able to stick a knife into another person. On another, we all need to remember who is in front of us.
You’d prefer that the noone holds powerful people to account for corruption, abuse and sleaze? Perhaps you’d prefer that the abusers and malingerers carry on living their happy lives without anyone bothering them as they have done for the past few decades?

It bothers me a lot but I see it on left (CNN MSNBC) and right (FOX, Daily Wire, YWN etc.) Its also against their ethic laws but I donโt think they even care about that anymore.
