As an El Al flight from Bangkok to Tel Aviv was touching down in Ben-Gurion International Airport a duty free cart broke loose and began making a run for it. The cart slammed into the pilot’s cabin, making quite a crashing noise as its contents smashed in the process.
The incident occurred on an El Al flight landing earlier in the week, at 7:00 AM. B’chasdei Hashem the incident ended as it did and not worse.
The incident is quite serious according to the experts, for they point out that since 9/11 the pilots’ cabin is supposed to be locked but it appears this was not the case on this El Al flight. An investigation is underway to determine if the door was unlocked as suspected.
