Rabbi Yoram Abarjil Shlita, a prominent Netivot rosh yeshiva and mekubal returned to Netivot on Thursday morning, 25 Kislev 5774. Rav Abarjil was arrested on suspicion of involvement in illegal activities surrounding that city’s mayoral elections. He was then released from detention and sent to house arrest outside of the city.
After spending eight days under house arrest in Givat Shmuel, Rav Abarjil returned home on the first day of Chanukah, greeted by hundreds of talmidim.
According to police, the rav hired the services of crime family boss Shalom Domrani, targeting Rabbi Yaakov Effergan, known as The Rentgan, for the latter was supporting the opposing candidate in the mayoral race.
