Tuesday, 16 Kislev 5773 brought a second consecutive day of violence at Eish Kodesh in Shomron after the IDF escorted Arab olive farmers to protect them against settlers as they harvested their crops.
Dozens of IDF soldiers and border police were assigned to stand guard around the Arabs as they worked in an effort to avoid a confrontation between Jews and Arabs in the Gush Shilo area community.
Despite the fact the soldiers were assigned to protect the Arabs, they found themselves under attack at some point.
In Sunday’s violence a female resident of Eish Kodesh was arrested. The video shows a soldier taking her two-year-old child away from her by force. Following the intervention of Honenu, the woman, a mother of three, was released later that evening.
The IDF feels the Arabs must be permitted to harvest their olive trees which border Eish Kodesh and to guarantee their safety, has assigned soldiers to protect them.
It should be pointed out that soldiers are firing rubber-coated bullets and not live ammunition.

How much bending over backwards to ensure ‘safety’ for Arabs? These same Arabs rip down and destroy olive trees of Israeli settlements.
