Would I be able to shoot professional videos using a DSLR that can shoot 1080 and is not designed for video. should I save up for a camcorder. anyone know what the options are for taking professional videos?
Actually, there are mirrorless cameras that are better than standard camcorders because of larger sensors and choice of lenses. A used Sony A6300 with a 35 or 50mm prime lens would be a good choice or Canon M50. If you want to get best results a separate sound recording device would give you much better results.
Lostspark, I looked up eotech red dot as I never heard of such a camera. It’s a weapon sight, why would you recommend it as a camera to shoot pro video?
Btw, I don’t understand these pro video and photography questions. People shoot a question and run off, no thanks for those who responded, no clarifications needed etc. I stopped answering these questions as I think they are troll threads.
To be honest, I don’t have a great deal of experience in shooting video, as 99.99% (or more) of what I shoot is stills.
That being said, I’ve seen some very nice videos that were shot using DSLRs. It certainly could be done, but I’d consult with someone who actually works in this area before committing to an expensive camera and/or lenses.
