Police Blame the IDF Following Fatal Afula Terror Attack

imageIn a nrg report, the Maariv website states that a startling 30,000 PA (Palestinian Authority) illegals enter into “Israel proper” monthly, leading one to question just what are security forces doing to enforce the law and protect citizens. Israel Police places the finger of blame on the IDF.

The report follows last week’s fatal terror attack on board a bus in the Afula Central Bus Station in which IDF soldier, 19-year-old Private Edan Atias HY”D was stabbed to death.

Police officials report that the IDF man most of the checkpoints and it is the agency responsible for Yehuda and Shomron. Hence the illegal border crossing by 30,000 PA residents monthly is the responsibility of the IDF, not Israel Police.

A police source quoted anonymously states that “Each person crossing in a mishap and there are 30,000 IDF mishaps monthly.”

Officials in IDF Central Command acknowledge the military is manning the checkpoints but it blames the politicians, the government in particular, for halting construction of the barrier in the areas of Yerushalayim, the Southern Hebron Hills and the Judean Desert. Officials explain the government priorities changed to the Egyptian and Syrian borders and the construction of physical barriers along those borders.
