While prominent admorim and rabbonim are among the growing number of mispallalim visiting Kever Yosef in PA-occupied Shechem, it appears not all rabbonim support it.
Speaking to the kehilla on Shabbos before Kriyas Hatorah in Khal Chassidim in the Ramat Elchanan area of Bnei Brak, Dayan HaRav Yehuda Silman addressed some ענייני דיומא including visiting kivrei tzaddikim and the dangers of the journey to the kevarim located in PA (Palestinian Authority) areas. The rav explained there have been many disastrous events as a result of these irresponsible acts.
Regarding travel to Kever Yosef, the rav added “I do not know if one may categorize one who travels to there כ’מאבד עצמו לדעת, but there is definitely a crime here.”
Persons close to the dayan explain he was referring those visiting Kever Yosef without making arrangements with the IDF, which escorts bulletproof buses to the tziyun. They stress the rav’s words do not apply to one visiting with IDF approval and arrangements.

We had a Rebbi in seminary who said something similar to the above, about any kevarim in PA neighborhoods ie. Kalev and Yehoshua, he said additionally that for kevarim like the examples even as a group may be a problem. one must always ask- Always Seek Kedusha
