@onemanband although bentzi Marcus does occasionally use gibsons, the guitar I’ve seen him with most often is actually a fender telecaster. I think the main reason most Jewish bands don’t use lp’s is simply because they are extremely expensive. You can get amazing sound out of almost any decent guitar if you’re good enough and you
know how to work your amps, electric guitar is extremely
versatile in that you can get pretty much any sound you want with some basic knowledge and the right
equipment. One of the best guitarists I know (he’s played
on many recordings as well as weddings), uses an Ibanez gio, which retails at around $200. I know I’m a little late to the conversation but I’m just seeing this thread for the first time now, sorry.
