Israel leads the world in the number of coronavirus cases per capita over the past week, an Oxford University study published on Tuesday shows.
The Our World in Data study lists Israel as averaging 1,013 new daily COVID cases per million people over a week, surpassing Georgia and Montenegro.
On Monday, Israel confirmed 10,900 new coronavirus cases, the highest number of daily cases since the start of the pandemic. The last time Israel recorded over 10,000 daily cases was on January 18, during the deadly third wave.
The infection rate is expected to at least temporarily increase even higher in the coming days following the opening of the school year on Wednesday, followed shortly later by Rosh Hashanah.
On the positive side, the number of coronavirus patients in serious condition seems to be stabilizing due to the influence of the booster shots and there has been a decrease in the number of new coronavirus patients aged 60 and above.

And Israel has the biggest vaccination rate per capita of the world!
Is anybody looking at this and saying, gee, why should anyone push vaccination? It’s obviously having THE OPPOSITE effect if the most vaccinated country has the highest rate of new cases. We don’t need studies or doctors or scientists to tell us what is clear as day- the vaccine is leading to MORE COVID.
How dare they insist on us getting vaccinated so we can return to “normal” if there is every likelihood that it won’t work, just like it’s not working in Israel, and in fact seems to be worse off over there. It should be a giant red flag that the vaccine is a bad bad idea.
“Case numbers” is based on those who test positive. It has also been shown that 90% of the people who “get” Covid19 do not develop symptoms worse than a cold or flu. While an increase in people getting seriously ill from Covid19 would be important, all that a high number of “case numbers” indicates is that Israel is more thorough in testing.

If all these young healthy people had covid when it first started and presented no risk to them, they would of all been so much better off! They would have herd immunity and protection. As we all know, natural immunity is way stronger than vaccines.
No Sariray, vaccinations are not magic shields to prevent infections, only illness. You can still have a highrisk lifestyle and get an infection. This article is only reporting infection, not illness.
This being largest # per capita is simply a result of many Israeli families living in very cramped quarters not being able to social distance & keep away from rest of their family, whereas in America if someone is sent home, they simply move onto 1 floor of their ranch for 10 days, and remainder of their family lives on a different floor of their ranch. This is reason, for large Corona #’s per capita in Israel, and would only be worse without vaccination.
But meanwhile, why is America allowing Israelis to enter America & not Europeans? who have way lower Corona rates per capita.
The infection rate is up, but deaths have not jumped accordingly.
Apparently, the vaccines do not stop the spread of Covid. It gives the body immunity from getting very sick from it.
