According to an exclusive “Chadrei Chadarim” report, Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupoliansky has dismissed City Hall employees responsible for chilul Shabbos, The Remet director in eastern Jerusalem and the work foreman for the Gadish Company, responsible for employing a number of Arab workers on Shabbos on the Strings Bridge project.
According to a Radio Kol Chai report, the employees who were dismissed were technically employees of a contractor hired by the city and not actual City Hall employees.
The mayor has also consulted with City Hall legal advisors, investigating the possibility of filing a legal action against the contractor responsible for the bridge project, citing the gross violation of the contract.
According to eyewitness accounts, the contractor did not adhere to the terms of the contract, to ensure workers only arrive following the termination of the Shabbos, with witnesses stating the Arab workers were seen at 6:00PM, some time prior to sunset.

Get rid of all Arab employees in the City Council of YErushayalim, Jews need jobs also. Now, can something be done about the upcoming ‘Shame parade’?
Do I understand correctly that arabs who are not obligated to abstain from work on Shabbos were fired due to violating the terms of a contract that they not work on Shabbos given that they arrived for motzei-Shabbos work too early?
Were they paid more for getting to work early than if they only worked during permitted hours? Were they getting to work early for their own benefits other than extra pay, or trying to finish the whole project on time?
