Severe Weather Rumbles Into Tri-State Area


weather1.gif3:05PM EST: The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Westchester, Rockland and Bergen counties, until 4 p.m. Sunday. Heavy rains continue to create hazardous roadways. An additional one-to-two inches of rain is possible for the affected areas.

Warnings for severe thunderstorms have been issued for 15 New York counties until 10 p.m. Sunday.

The counties under watch in New York include Albany, Fulton, Columbia, Dutchess, Hamilton, Fulton, Herkimer, Montgomery, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Ulster, Schenectady, Schoharie, Ulster, Warren and Washington.

The storm has the potential to produce hail, dangerous lightning and strong winds.

In addition, a flash flood warning is in effect until 4 p.m. in Westchester and Rockland counties in New York and Bergen County in New Jersey.

    WOW I have never seen this here! This is a major hail storm for this area, not to mention we are in the summer month CRAZY!

  2. We had it pretty bad here in Lakewood. We thought Moshiach was coming! H’lavai! We collected cups and cups full of small perfecttly round ice balls. It’s amazing to have such conditions in 80 degree weather in the summer! Mah rabu maasecha Hashem!
