Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz, a former defense minister, calls the ceasefire with Hamas a major concession to Hamas. The former IDF chief and defense minister warns the move has totally destroyed Israel’s deterrence abilities vis-à-vis Hamas and will demand a heavy price in the future.

Mofaz stated that unfortunately, when the army is eventually ordered into Gaza, and this will occur he stated, the condition will be that much more difficult since Hamas will use the ceasefire period to regroup and fortify itself.
