One can only imagine the outcry that would be heard in NYC or Paris if the following occurred in those cities, but in Eretz Yisrael, the politicians remain silent.
A hater of Yiddishkheit in Eretz Yisrael used his Facebook page to announce that he has been removing the parshios from mezuzos of neighbors, replacing them with photos of pigs.
He explains that before deciding to launch his campaign he saw a neighbor kiss a mezuzah, wondering to himself if the world has gone crazy? “Has everyone gone crazy? From the idea of a state of secular Jews we have turned into religious junkies” he writes.
He writes that about a half year ago he photocopied pictures of a pig, rolled the papers and then headed to the building, replacing every other mezuzah. He took care to install them and close the mezuzah so that his work was unnoticed.
“Since then I have been monitoring the results. In which home was cancer detected? Which home is sitting shiva? Which home won the lottery and so forth? My experiment is not over but I am sleeping much better at night.”
Visitors to his page, both religious and secular, were outraged, and they expressed their disgust on the page.
