The teachers union on Wednesday signed an agreement with treasury officials regarding a reform plan, averting strikes over the issue.

Union leader Yossi Wasserman called the signing a historic occasion, explaining that finally, the national government has placed improved condition for teachers high on the agenda, a reality that will lead to improved education, which he explained is a winning situation for all, teachers and students alike.
