Rosh Yeshivah HaGaon HaRav Gershon Edelstein was hospitalized in Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital on Friday shortly before Shabbos on the advice of his doctors.

HaRav Edelstein felt unwell on Erev Shabbos and his personal physician paid a house visit and recommended that the Rosh Yeshivah be brought to the hospital for close medical supervision.

On Motzei Shabbos, family members issued a statement: “HaGaon HaRav Edelstein learned his usual sidrei limmud over Shabbos in the company of his family members. Please daven fervently for the refuah sheleimah of HaRav Yerachmiel Gershon ben Miriam b’toch sha’ar cholei Yisrael.
