An 88-year-old man is the seventh NYC resident whose death has been attributed to a four-day heat wave. The medical examiner’s office says the Brooklyn man died early Thursday of hyperthermia, an abnormal elevation of body temperature. The man was found in his home.

Six other people died of heat-related causes on Tuesday and Wednesday.
