Residents of the northern and central areas on Thursday afternoon reported feeling earthquakes which seismologists report originated in southern Lebanon, registering about 4.0 on the Richer Scale.
Northern border communities reported feeling the first quake at about 4:00pm, which registered a 4.0. There were three additional earthquakes between 6:40pm-6:43pm, registering between 3.8 and 4.2. There were no injuries reported in Israel.
