    Yankel Fruest ah was nifter yesterday, known by his tradmark of calling everyone mechitin, love of nice car rentals and nice suits, he added a lot of flavor Boro Park.
    Sadly a lot of the more colorful people of community are no longer with us, including Shelly from Lakewood, Mendel from Williamsburg etc.

    CS: I, too, was thinking of asking his whereabouts and how’s he doing, when I saw this thread. Haven’t heard or seen him in quite a while. I should ask his chavrusa, whom I know well.

    Reb Mendel was niftar six years ago. I gave him a ride a few times when he hitched.
