well the main reason why the south seceded was due to slavery but they wanted state rights to mostly keep the slaves, happy to clarify.
but there were many more factors
including the message of fighting the elitist. southern people were saying we don’t want to be run by big banks from new york and factories of new england . lincoln didn’t carry a single southern state, and southerners thought they would be marginalized from politics. to answer yserbius slavery has nothing to do with race as i’ve shown. and i don’t hate black people, not sure how that comes in. howard stern, jimmy kimmel, trudeau, northam all wore black face. if i dress up like a pirate does that mean i want to burn down your house? if i dress up like a viking does that mean i’m invading sweden? no its called a costume.
