Prospect Park in Brooklyn will be closed Friday due to a visit by President Barack Obama.

The 500-acre park will be closed from noon to 6 p.m. Friday when the president visits a nearby high school.

Obama is to arrive by helicopter in the park.

The president is scheduled to visit Pathways in Technology Early College High School. He praised the school in his State of the Union address this year for its innovative program.
