IDF Medical Corps officials have launched an investigation into a case in which a soldier was not diagnosed or treated for tuberculosis until the illness became quite advanced.

Despite the soldier seeking medical care on numerous occasions, complaining of symptoms associated with the illness, a diagnosis was only made after he presented with an active cough, already infecting many of his colleagues who now require treatment for the illness as well.
