Who is hiding it? Why would they? What do they have to gain? Why are you the only one blessed with the knowledge of the truth?
“They” refers to public health officials and then the media.
There are any numberof reasons to withhold information. Let’s put aside conspiracy theories; it’s clear that they don’t trust the public with certain pieces of information. In some cases, that’s justified, but the results are erosion of trust.
Just look at the changing mask directives.
They certainly would prefer people not know about those who suffered injury or illness from the vaccine, because people will get scared off.
I’m no antivaxxer, but when I see Dr. Fauci lying to the American people, I can’t help but expect that cynics will think he (and others) are lying about things we haven’t yet caught on to.
I think I would take the vaccine if I were able to and was in the vulnerable population. That’s because in balance, I think it’s worth it. I think the chances of dying of Covid-19 at this point is still greater than dying from the vaccine (despite great advances in treatment). But I think it is reasonable to be scared of a relatively untested (certainly long term) vaccine.
