New York City’s law enforcement community continues to actively campaign on behalf of Chaim Deutsch’s campaign for the City Council as the General Election approaches on November 5th.
During the Democratic Primary, every major law enforcement union in the city came out in support of Deutsch’s candidacy, clearly establishing him as the “public safety candidate” in the race for the 48th City Council seat. The endorsements of these unions, comprised of every active and retired member of the NYPD in the ranks of Police Officer, Detective, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Deputy Inspector, Police Surgeon, Inspector and Deputy Chief, demonstrate Chaim Deutsch’s readiness to tackle any and every police and public safety matter.
In a statement in support of Deutsch’s candidacy, PBA President Patrick J. Lynch said, “On behalf of the New York City Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, I am pleased to announce our endorsement of Chaim Deutsch’s candidacy in the 48th City Council District. Chaim’s proven track record and commitment to law enforcement are well recognized. As police officers who face, every day, the chance that we might be called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice, the members of the PBA would be honored to have Chaim Deutsch representing our members.”
Deutsch said that he was “humbled and grateful for the recognition and overwhelming support of New York’s law enforcement community.”
“Results and experience matter. That’s what I bring to the table,” Deutsch continued. “As our next council member, I’ll work tirelessly to make our communities safer and ensure that the men and women who risk their lives everyday have the tools and resources they need to keep us protected.”
Working for the City Council for 17 years and founder of the Shomrim Safety Patrol in southern Brooklyn, Chaim Deutsch has worked closely with the 60th, 61st, 63rd, 70th Precincts & Patrol Borough Brooklyn South – to not only fight everyday crimes, but to also deal with all types of quality of life issues.
Below are those New York City uniformed police unions that have endorsed Chaim Deutsch for City Council.

I think at the end of the day chaim will be getting my vote he looks like he cares more about our community
Chaim has worked on our behalf for so many years and has earned our votes. If you live in the new 48th Council District be sure to go to the polls on Tuesday November 5th to help elect Chaim. Be sure to speak to your neighbors about the importance of voting in this race.
I just dont think he has the votes.
Good for Chaim!
He’s certainly earned our votes!
Chaim will have the votes when we decide it’s worth a trip to the polls to send a message that (a) we know who’s been serving our community, as opposed to someone who just wants to get elected; and (b) a “Mentsch” can actually win an election without resorting to distortions and sham endorsements.
These are not”Mickey Mouse” endorsements. These are coming from the men and women in blue, who put their lives on the line on a daily basis. They see something in Chaim Deutsch that we would be wise to take with us on Election Day- a fighter and proven winner in the ongoing battle for our communities safety! At the end of the day, what else really matters!
