Why are Republican Senators making it so easy for Bidens appointees to be confirmed? Dems dragged it out for over a year when it came to Trump’s nominees.
They confirmed them easily because they are all competent not like Trump who only cared about a ‘yes’ man and not experience in the resoective fields of expertise.
Yet another Trumpie lie. Mattis and Kelly were confirmed the same day Trump was sworn into office, and Haley 4 days later. All but one of Trump’s first set of nominees were confirmed within seven weeks. The exception was Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, who took 16 weeks, but that didn’t matter because the Trade Representative’s job is to promote international trade which Trump hates.
It is amazing how so many Trumpies think they can lie and not get caught.
Dragging out confirmations is a waste of time (at least for people who the President can fire at any time). When the Senate is not controlled by the same party as the President, they constantly complain about each other. Any readers who work with preschoolers will notice the similarities between politicians and preschoolers.
Grenell was among the biggest Trump sycophants and grossly unqualified to serve in a senior intelligence capacity. Devos at least knew something about the subject matter of education although she spent 4 years trying to defund the public schools at the expense of private schools along with enriching private online colleges who defrauded their students.
To lakewart: Betsy Devos was unqualified for the position of Secretary of Education. But those awful Democrats would not even consider Merrick Garland, Trump’s nominee for the US Supreme Court.

Of note, Lighthizer was involved in very significant activities re: China, but it’s ok by you
Lighthizer was perhaps one of the most qualified Trump appointees and also one of the few who survived 4 years. His views on China and the WTO were really not that different from those of most Dems and he actually was reasonably close on a personal level with several Democratic leaders in the House and Senate. While he was a Trump sycophant, that outward persona was apparently the price you had to pay to stay in Trump’s good graces and get your job done.
