Rabbi Yehuda Dukes, a beloved husband and father who inspired thousands around the world with his unshakable faith as he battled COVID 19, passed away on Thursday, 8 Shvat, 5781.
He was 39.
Rabbi Dukes was the founder and director of the JNet organization, who devoted his life to assisting thousands around the world in learning Torah.
After he fell ill 9 months ago, his wife, Sarah Dukes, inspired thousands with her strong faith and belief that her husband would survive. Her updates on her husband’s condition and progress were a source of inspiration to many.
Last month, Yudi arrived home from the hospital after 8 months of illness, only to be readmitted the next day due to liver failure due to COVID.
He passed away today, leaving his wife Sarah and 6 children.
He is also survived by his parents, Aaron and Hinda Dukes and siblings.

What a tragedy!! Hashem is trying to wake us up from lour VERY DEEP SLUMBER. Tefilla must be increased EVERYWHERE. One thing is for sure. Can ANYONE explain why there hasn’t been an outcry for a major Asifa L’Chizuk HaTefilla over the past 11 months of Corna??????? What in the world are we waiting for??? HASHEM IS WAITING FOR US TO BE MECHAZEIK OUR TEFILLOS. Not just the families of those effected, but the Tefillos of Gantz Klal Yisroel. It’s Rachmana Litzlan like before the Holocaust where the Chazon Ish ZT”L is quoted as saying that had there been proper Tefilla beforehand things would have been much different. What about now?? I can’t believe that we are 5 weeks before Purim and STILL NOTHING SIGNIFICANT IN CLOSE TO 11 MONTHS HAS BEEN ACHIEVED IN THE AREA OF TEFILLA. If that’s not a Shanda and Charpa, I don’t know what is. Please, beg our leaders to make Assifos L’Man Chizuk of Tefilla. Our daily davening MUST IMPROVE IN A VERY MAJOR WAY. My daily Shemoneh Esrei takes over a half hour how long is yours?? (You don’t know who I am, so I can say this.) Are you crying your heart out for other Yidden? The Gemora in Brachos 12B says that someone who can daven for someone else (we all can daven for someone else can’t we?) and doesn’t, is called a sinner.
