Following Thursday’s fatal rocket attack in Kibbutz Nir Am, Finance Minister Roni Bar-On announced that he is reiterating what he has been saying for sometime, that Israel must respond to the rocket attacks, not with more protective fortifications but with a military offensive.

Bar-On stated we cannot hide or protect ourselves from attacks, but we must bring them to a halt by launching a serious military operation.

Bar-On has advocated a military response and opposes the continued buildup of protective devices intended to permit residents to go about their daily business despite ongoing rocket attacks.
