Thousands of residents and supporters of Sruly Porush took part in an atzeres backing his mayoral bid in the Elad race. While Vishnitz has signaled its support of Porush is not guaranteed, the rav of the Vishnitz kehilla in the city spoke in support of Porush. HaGaon HaRav Picksher explained the ruchniyus situation in Elad today is troublesome and therefore the tzibur must back Porush’s candidacy to become the next mayor.
A statement from HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita endorsing Porush was read for participants in the atzeres as well.
