A New York City health care worker suffered a “significant allergic reaction” to a COVID vaccine, the city Health Department said Wednesday.
“With more than 30,000 COVID-19 vaccinations administered in New York City, we have received a single report of a serious adverse event in a health care worker. The health care worker, who had a significant allergic reaction, has been treated and is in stable condition,”, the NYC Health Department told YWN in a statement.
“Vaccines do have side effects and allergic reactions – while uncommon – are known to occur. We also know that based on clinical trials and reports of adverse effects in other jurisdictions, reactions such as these are rare but have been reported with the Pfizer vaccine.”
“The City Health Department is closely tracking reports of more severe side effects in collaboration with the CDC, and this is the first serious adverse event we have encountered in New York City. We will continue to move forward with the coronavirus vaccine distribution to ensure that health care workers and nursing home staff and residents are protected against COVID-19.”

Did this person have any prior drug allergies? I think that’s a very important question that YWN conveniently leaves out. If it’s unknown then YWN should state that so at least they can make believe they’re paying attention
Very few people will have reactions to the vaccine, but you can look at the CDC web site for the list of ingredients. Anyone who has had a severe allergic reaction (e.g., anaphylaxis) to any of the vaccine ingredients is contraindicated.

How is someone supposed to know in advance if they are allergic to the vaccine ingredients? polyethylene glycol (PEG), 4-hydroxybutyl)azanediyl)bis(hexane-6,1-diyl)bis(2- hexyldecanoate; N-ditetradecylacetamide, 1,2-distearoyl-snglycero-3-phosphocholine, and cholesterol; and potassium chloride; monobasic potassium phosphate; sodium chloride; dibasic sodium phosphate dihydrate; and sucrose.
Also in the US, people who have severe allergic reactions to food and medicine are told it is safe to take the vaccine, but it you live in the United Kingdom, you are told it is not safe to take it. Are human bodies different in these countries?
I guess pregnant women are also different in different countries. Even though the vaccine was not tested in pregnant women during the clinical trials, pregnant women are allowed to get the vaccines in the US, but in the United Kingdom they are told not to get the vaccine and not to become pregnant for three months after the vaccine.
I read online that people w no history of allergies were have had anaphylactic allergic reactions.
It’s a Russia hoax. The vaccine is completely safe.
