The Derech Halimud using the double entendre can not be fairly compared to a logical inference based on lomdus and halacha. Rebbeim in Yeshivas usually maintain the achrayus of loyalty to the text when they decide pshat and Halacha. The proof is that no Rishonim say such things. So it is not part of our Mesorah. Sorry RE.
