Buffett Purchases Israel-Based Company


buf.jpgWarren Buffett recently purchased Ray-Q Interconnect, an Israeli company which develops electrical systems for military industries. The company will be sold to a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary specializing in distributing semiconductor components.

The subsidiary TTI was purchased by Buffett in 2006, and employs some 3,800 workers. It had in the past purchased other Israeli companies such as Net-aye. All of Ray-Q’s 70 employees are expected to stay in country.

According to Buffett Israel is “an amazing country with a lot of energy and excellent minds.”
