This election is Trump Impeachment – Part 2
Mitt Romney said before he voted to convict trump, “The defense argues that the Senate should leave the impeachment decision to the voters.”
Well the voters in 2020 have voted and proclaimed loud and clear that Trump needs to be removed from office.

“So the verdict is ours to render under our Constitution. The people will judge us for how well and faithfully we fulfill our duty. The grave question the Constitution tasks senators to answer is whether the president committed an act so extreme and egregious that it rises to the level of a high crime and misdemeanor.
Yes, he did. The president asked a foreign government to investigate his political rival. The president withheld vital military funds from that government to press it to do so. The president delayed funds for an American ally at war with Russian invaders. The president’s purpose was personal and political. Accordingly, the president is guilty of an appalling abuse of public trust.
What he did was not perfect. No, it was a flagrant assault on our electoral rights, our national security and our fundamental values. CORRUPTING AN ELECTION TO KEEP ONE’S SELF IN OFFICE IS PERHAPS THE MOST ABUSIVE AND DESTRUCTIVE VIOLATION OF ONE’S OATH OF OFFICE THAT I CAN IMAGINE.”
Is anybody surprised that Trump and his gang of formerly respected lawyers (Guliani, Powell and Ellis) are continuing on the same path ?
The republicans in the senate did not remove him from office for this exact abuse of power, so he feels completely safe in doing it again.

“Having failed to make even a plausible case of widespread fraud or conspiracy before any court of law, the President has now resorted to overt pressure on state and local officials to subvert the will of the people and overturn the election. It is difficult to imagine a worse, more undemocratic action by a sitting American president.”
November 22, 2020 12:29 pm at 12:29 pm #1922006jackkParticipantSince his loss of the presidency is the end of his impeachment, he does not deserve to be pardoned, but rather to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Trump vacuumed all the intelligence and honesty out of Republican discourse. He’s the worst thing that happened to the GOP since the Iraq War.
