I was just reading up about this guy running for Senate from Georgia, this guy is a out and out Anti Semite, any Jew voting for him should have his head examined.
In a May 2018 sermon at Ebenezer Baptist, Warnock said, “It’s been a tough week. The administration opened up the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem. Standing there [were] the president’s family and a few mealy-mouthed evangelical preachers who are responsible for the mess that we found ourselves in, both there and here — misquoting and misinterpreting the Scripture, talking about peace. Meanwhile, young Palestinian sisters and brothers, who are struggling for their very lives, struggling for water and struggling for their human dignity, stood up in a nonviolent protest, saying, ‘If we’re going to die, we’re going to die struggling.’”
Warnock traveled in February to March 2019 to Israel and the Palestinian territories, as part of a delegation of African American clergy under the auspices of the National Council of Churches, along with clergy from the South African Council of Churches.
“We came as representatives of African American communities; as descendants of those who survived slavery, Jim Crow and who work now to dismantle the new Jim Crow of mass incarceration and militarization of police in our communities; and we came as representatives of the South African people who lived through the indignity of over 300 years of dehumanizing dispossession, colonialism, segregation and apartheid,” the delegation said afterward.
Included in that statement were references to “heavy militarization of the West Bank, reminiscent of the military occupation of Namibia by apartheid South Africa and “what appears to be an unstoppable gobbling up of Palestinian lands to almost render the proposed two-state solution unworkable.” The statement also compared Israeli security barriers to the Berlin Wall and criticized “laws of segregation that allow one thing for the Jewish people and another for the Palestinians.”commonseychel,

He lost and so will she.Warnock is not an Anti-Semite and has not made any anti-Semitic statements.
His support for Jews and Israel is unequivocal. He opposes BDS.He has been a friend to Atlanta’s Jewish community throughout his tenure at the Ebenezer Baptist Church and a regular speaker and visitor to Atlanta’s synagogues.
He stands with the Jewish community, Jewish values, and stands with Israel.
I hope he wins.

There are any Jews who don’t support Medinat Yisrael. Palestinians are also Semites.If you wish to portray him as anti-Israeli, than have the guts to do so. (Not that I believe it to be true).

I had not planned to get involved in this Georgia Senate race but after seeing the vile motzi shem ra being spouted against Rev. Warnock, I sent him a campaign contribution. He has made some statements I find problematic but he isn’t an anti-Semite, he has taken strong stands against BDS, against the use of “Apartheid” to describe Israel, and opposing those who oppose Israel’s right to exist. He also opposes conditions on US aid to Israel
Besides there is no way the senior pastor of the Ebenezer Baptist Church is going to be anti-Israel or anti-Semitic. Martin Luther King, Sr. and Jr. were pastors there! The congregation would not tolerate it.
Furthermore his opponent is a filthy rich insider trading crook who wanted to force the Georgia Secretary of State to resign because the Secretary of State was insisting on an honest election count. She is as unfit for public office as is Trump.
Interesting fact: Rev. Warnock went to one of the few remaining all male colleges in the US, Morehouse College in Atlanta.

@jackk – I don’t know what synagogues you’re talking about, but Warnock has definitely not spoken at any of the Orthodox synagogues. Maybe the former Young Israel (which barely qualifies as Orthodox at this point). My parents or my siblings would have told me if he did. I assume you’re referring to one of the Reform and Conservative Temples or possibly one of the Chabad houses (also doubtful).
@charliehall – What a load of malarkey, to put it very mildly. Ebenezer and the overwhelming majority of the black population in Atlanta have changed since the days of MLK. As a whole, they aren’t Pro-Israel and anyone who has lived in Atlanta for more than 30 seconds knows that. The black population has tied itself to the Arabs. End of story.
As for his opponent, she’s no worse than Maxine Waters. Politics are dirty and unethical. Deal with it.

I am NOT a troll. I point out the misuse of words. If one wants to call Warnock: Anti-Israel, or Amti-Jewish, then have the nerve to say so, not Anti-Semite, because he is being alleged to be pro Palestinian.

Being from Atlanta and having a bit of knowledge regarding Ebenezer and its reverends post-MLK, I would say: He is at best apathetic. He is most likely akin to most of that population in Atlanta – borderline antisemitic and anti-Israel*. At worst, he’s both.
*There obviously are exceptions, I just don’t believe he is one of them, especially when he defends the likes of Jeremiah Wright and his compadres.

I do not approve of clergy in Government. I was thrilled when the Pope ordered Catholic clergy out of Government and Father Drinan left Congress.My email has been non-stop requesting money to turn Georgia’s Senate delegation Blue. I had donated to Biden’s campaign because I wanted him to defeat Trump. BUT, I honestly believe states should choose their own members of the Senate, with as little outside influence and money as possible.

I would agree with all the above with regard to clergy. I also generally oppose the existence of any religious parties in Israel. Religious MKs are fine, but religious parties? No way.
I don’t think there should be any interference in local races, period.
Reconstruction II? I don’t think this Reconstruction. However, the suggestion by various media by elitists and celebrities that people move to Georgia just to change the politics certainly smells of it and I understand those who may think of it as such.

It is absolutely essential for the US government to function over the next two years that Dems win both Senate runoffs in Georgia so that Moscow Mitch McConnell is no longer able to block anything and everything.

We should be rejoicing that the voters of Georgia rejected two grifting politicians who supported an attempted coup against America.
