Two Israelis were arrested in Dubai for reportedly taking photos of a government facility, which is illegal in the United Arab Emirates, Yisrael HaYom reported.
Members of the Jewish community in the UAE confirmed the details with Yisrael Hayom.
Although there are apparently few policemen seen on the streets of the UAE, public areas are outfitted with cameras that are closely monitored and any criminal violations are immediately enforced, the report said.
The UAE has strict laws against taking photos of government facilities, military sites and airports.

Don’t take pictures of government facilities.
Wow, That was fast.
Of all the facilities advertised as potentially useful and user-friendly for Israelis visiting Dubai, I was amused to notice that the prisons and judiciary were conspicuously absent – when these are going to have heavy Israeli traffic. I’m wondering now how long it will take before they realise that maybe there are better places to visit. For those interested: find out more about Princess Latifa…..
One of those traps that tourists can easily fall into, not knowing the laws of countries they visit. It could have happened to any one of us.
Don’t travel to places where you’re probably unwelcome. And don’t trust a country with a population that hates you…
