Is there a point for Trump to run again in 2024?
If majority of the country hate Trump then why run again in 2024?
If trump only wants the best for everyone then why would he want to run again in 4 years?November 15, 2020 9:11 am at 9:11 am #1919907GRATEFULBLACParticipantNo – Trump and Biden will be too old – it should be Ivanka v Kamala!
November 15, 2020 11:17 am at 11:17 am #19199111ParticipantNot Trump but definitely someone who will put America ahead of the globalists and one who doesn’t stab Israel in the back. I like Ted Cruz but in 2016 I felt he couldn’t have flipped PA WI and MI. He wasn’t running a campaign to bring manufacturing back to America. I don’t think he could win a presidential election. The GOP has a problem. They don’t have anybody. Mike Pence happens to be very good. You’d have the results of a Trump Presidency sans covid like a good economy friendly to the jews stop Radical Muslims immigration etc but less tweet distractions and he wouldn’t curse out someone like McCain. Nikki Haley will run but I don’t think she’ll get far. Trey Gowdy is a great speaker and debates well. He knows the DC swamp and is more America first than Ted Cruz. One of the Trumps will make an attempt probably Donald Jr but I would not endorse him because I don’t think he can win. Basically the GOP needs someone who can stand up to the Democrat bullying. Pence or Trey Gowdy would be my 2 favorite candidates.

It should be obvious even to the members of his cult that he doesn’t want the best for everyone, only for himself.
November 15, 2020 12:17 pm at 12:17 pm #1919919LarryParticipantHalf the county likes Trump. He probably will be to old.
But sure why not, the evil dems stole the election from him.
Crazy sleepy Joe isn’t my president, he has no legitimate right to have claimed he won. He cheated.November 15, 2020 12:21 pm at 12:21 pm #1919924Ex-CTLawyerParticipantTrump will immediately start fundraising for the 2024 campaign, fleecing his EDITED -you may not have limits but we do followers. It is all about self enrichment, putting friends and quasi-relations on the payroll.

Probably Commy China.
After all they gave him 10 Million Bucks!November 15, 2020 12:28 pm at 12:28 pm #1919926smerelParticipantIt is super unlikely that he will do so. He will be 78 and have a lot less of a chance of winning than he did in 2020.
It is primarily his opponents who based on (like usual) anonymous source who are claiming he is looking to do so.For a simple reason. For their purposes and to ensure party loyalty , his opponents need Trump to stick around as the boogeyman.
November 15, 2020 1:11 pm at 1:11 pm #1919952WithheldParticipantIf Joe Biden can run at 77 years why can’t Trump run at 78?
November 15, 2020 1:11 pm at 1:11 pm #1919948GadolhadorahParticipantBoth parties have several young members of Congress and governors who have not found it necessary to indulge the fringe elements of their party but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of support these days for moderation or centrist positions. The Trumpkopfs will be fortunate if they have not been jailed by 2024 but here are guys like Tom Cotton and Matt Hawley who are sufficiently intelligent and far-right socially to be possible candidates. There are also some serious Dems but they will have a hard time fighting off demands that Kamela is somehow “entitled” to the nomination.

However I find it difficult to see how that continues in the United States. The modern day Democrat party has made clear it vies religion as the enemy and people who attempt to live their lives according to their religion as backward.
This would not be so terrible if they would adhere to the time honored American tradition of “live and let live” however they have made clear that they wish to use the Political & Judicial system to attempt to enforce their War on G-D upon us.
-They continue to obligate a typical Jewish family to pay thousands upon thousands of dollars in “taxes” that they can ill afford to support a school system that teaches children beliefs that are the antithesis of the Torah, then under the guise of separation of church and religion they are attempting to ensure that Jewish Private schools have no access to the government money that is a result of taxation of the Jewish population unless we are willing to teach curriculum that is incompatible with a Torah life.
-They continue to attempt to ensure that only those who follow the Moses Mendelssohn & Abraham Geiger model of being a Jew at home and non-jew outside model are allowed to earn a living. In order to have a catering business, bakery, florist or other legitimate business they are attempting to force one to provide services that the Torah outright forbids.
– Whether or not one is a Zionist ( I personally am vehemently not) the facts are the that millions of Acheinu Bnei Yisroel live in Israel and their lives are put at risk by the foreign policy decisions that increasingly becoming in vogue in the Democratic party.
Based on the above it remains to be seen if the Orthodox Jewish community can attempt to remain with a veneer of neutrality in American politics or we will be forced to become political activists to fight for our ability to maintain a Torah life in Golus America.

– He appointed hundreds of Judges who are sympathetic to causes of religious freedom.
– He aggressively pursued policies in support of private schools.
– He brought about peace agreements in the Mideast that changed the regional dynamic, saving much Jewish blood.Whether or not he runs again I would hope and pray the Republican party continues in his path.

You’re obviously an intelligent and successful person. While I don’t always (or even usually) agree with you on policy, I respect your opinion, which is typically expressed in the dispassionate tone of intellectual debate. The vitriol of emotional fighting does not become you. DJT is not worth you stooping beneath your dignity.

I am NOT a BOT,
I do have limits, referring to those being fleeced is an analogy. One sheers sheep to remove their item of value, fleece.
In colloquial English, we refer to fleecing someone as taking their money with no exchange for something of value,
Right now Trump is fleecing contributors to his Voter Lawsuit funds and diverting the first 60% of the contribution to his PAC and paying off campaign debt, only after that will a maximum of 40 cents of each dollar contributed be spent on voter lawsuits. (Frim the official disclosure on the solicitation emails.)Where did this campaign debt go, to things such as paying a huge salary to Donny Junior’s girlfriend.
If a 2024 campaign committee is set up, it can rent space from Trump in his buildings and pay above market rents, It can pay huge salaries to Donny Jr’s girlfriend, and Rudy’s know nothing son and assorted other non-qualified hangers on.

#1 I don’t believe that one cent of government tax money should be spent on non-public schools.
#2 Paying taxes is not an a la carte system, We all pay taxes that support government entities we don’t use. I have never used our town’s municipal golf course or swimming pools. I don’t begrudge the cost. I think they a great amenity to the community as a whole and increase home values, so do good school systems. The better the public schools the higher home values.
#3 No one in EY is put at risk by foreign policy decisions ‘becoming in vogue in the Democratic Party.’ The Democratic Party has not made a single foreign policy decision since January 20, 2017.
Your use of the word decisions defeats your thesis.November 15, 2020 4:55 pm at 4:55 pm #1920005Abba_SParticipantTrump got almost 73 million votes more votes then anyother presidential candadate in the history of the country. If he wants to run in 2024 nobody is going to challange him in the Republican Party. Biden may have got lucky this time but if he doesn’t deliver on his promises, he is not going to get a second chance and Trump is a shoo-in
November 15, 2020 5:19 pm at 5:19 pm #1920016emes nisht shekerParticipantWhen you study WWII history there is this remarkable change after the Nazis were defeated where just about everyone was in-fact opposed to Hitler. Makes it hard to figure who supported him in the first place.
Now, I am not saying Trump is anything like Hitler in his objectives, however in terms of trying to gain power there are many similarities. Much like the people of Germany turned away from one populist demagogue after he lost, I suspect in 4 years many of you deny ever having liked Trump in the first place.
November 15, 2020 5:47 pm at 5:47 pm #1920023akupermaParticipantTrump is too old, and clearly dragged down the ticket, depriving Republicans of a secure majority in the Senate and control of the House. His ideology wasn’t the problem (note that even California voted against affirmative action, for the gig economy, against unions and against taxes). Trump was the problem. Pence, Haley or Cotton (among others) would have no trouble appealing to Trump’s base while not insulting the rest of the conservatives (and the moderates who are horrified at the direction the Democrats have taken). No one chose Trump because he insults and derides, many rejected him for a serious lack of mentschlikeit.

2500 years ago the Iranian regime and the people were afraid that Haman will do Rishus. Yiden were afraid from the (fake) news. Then Hashem exposed the Reshoim and they were hung in public.
In our times the Rishus of DemocRATS, will Be”H be exposed. The rigged election, the fake news of the media, and their fight against believing in Hashem.

November 16, 2020 9:23 am at 9:23 am #1920139GRATEFULBLACParticipantIf Trump does stand in 4 years time, lets say as an Independent candidate, the Republican party is going to have a real problem.
If they do not choose him as a their candidate he will stand anyway as an independent as take millions of votes away from them and potentially lose them the 2024 election.
They then may be forced to choose him as their candidate and so risk either splitting the party who may want to move on to somebody else or risk losing the election, as Trump may be viewed by the American public as an old hat – has been.
November 16, 2020 9:24 am at 9:24 am #1920141Abba_SParticipantCTL It was not my intent to say Biden didn’t win the election and get more votes than Trump. I was merely pointing out that Trump got more votes than any previous presidential candidate including Obama & Clinton.
Prosecuting Trump after he leaves office either criminally or civilly will only backfire. Neither party has a mandate the Republicans have 50 member in the Senate with 2 seats scheduled for a runoff election in January. In the House almost 2 weeks after the election the Democrats have 219 with 15 seats un decided almost all of them Republican leaning. There is already infighting between the Progressives and the moderates. If Republicans can find a few Democrats that will work with them they can control the House of Representatives too.

Are you seriously making the argument that contemporary USA is an environment more disagreeable to Torah observant Jews than any other country in our long exile?
You really need to stop drinking that Kool-Aid.
The USA is, without comparison, the single most benevolent and amenable host whose hospitality we have enjoyed (or, in most cases, endured) since the Churban. Instead of repeating absurd talking points, we should make an effort to appreciate what we have, even as we pine to return home.

I have said many times, I can only comment on what appears in posts, not what you may have intended to say. You posted a falsehood, that Trump rec’d more votes than any other Presidential candidate, when he got 5 million less than Biden.
It is ridiculous to compare the votes received years ago, as the US population and the number of registered voters has grown by millions over time. That my friend is apples and oranges.

I do not know why you deliberately tried to misconstrue what I wrote.
Yes America, the Medina shel Chesed has been a wonderful place for us.
That is historical fact.
However the Democrat party right now includes a large segment that sees America as being an evil place and wishes to transform that. Based on what they have said and done till now it is more then reasonable to state that what they wish America to become is a place that is far less hospitable to those who wish to openly practice and live by religion.
As such what America was and is still is irrelevant.
That is precisely what they advocate changing.
