President Donald Trump delighted supporters gathered near the White House on Saturday with a slow motorcade drive-by through downtown Washington on the way to his Virginia golf club.
A week after the presidential race was called for Democrat Joe Biden, thousands of Trump loyalists converged on the nation’s capital to protest the election results and falsely assert the vote was stolen.
Trump persists with his claims and complaints even though a broad coalition of top government and industry officials has declared that the Nov. 3 voting and the following count unfolded smoothly with no more than the usual minor hiccups — “the most secure in American history,” they said, repudiating his efforts to undermine the integrity of the contest.
The crowd cheered as Trump’s limousine neared and people lined both sides of the street. Some stood just a few feet away from Trump’s vehicle; others showed their enthusiasm by running along with the caravan.

They chanted “USA, USA” and “four more years,” and many carried American flags and signs to show their displeasure with the vote tally. After making the short detour for the slow drive around Freedom Plaza, where people were gathering for the afternoon rally, the motorcade headed to the president’s club.
After an hour of speeches from Trump loyalists from around the country, the flag-waving crowd set off toward the Supreme Court.
The “Million MAGA March” was heavily promoted on social media, raising concerns that it could spark conflict with anti-Trump demonstrators, who have gathered near the White House in Black Lives Matter Plaza for weeks.
In preparation, police closed off wide swaths of downtown, where many stores and offices have been boarded up since Election Day. Chris Rodriguez, director of the city’s Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency, said the police were experienced at keeping the peace.
“People who come to the District know that you can’t bring weapons to our city and that violence will not be tolerated,” Rodriguez said.
The issues that Trump’s campaign and its allies have pointed to are typical in every election: problems with signatures, secrecy envelops and postal marks on mail-in ballots, as well as the potential for a small number of ballots miscast or lost. With Biden leading Trump by wide margins in key battleground states, none of those issues would have any impact on the outcome of the election.
Trump’s campaign has also filed legal challenges complaining that their poll watchers were unable to scrutinize the voting process. Many of those challenges have been tossed out by judges, some within hours of their filing.

Why no mention of all the white supremacists groups that were proudly marching with their Trump flags? Also no mention of the number of protesters, maybe a few thousand not exactly a million as the Trumpists are now claiming. Expect a bit more from this news site……….We voted, he lost and he will leave.
The “Million Maga March” was a bit overstated. The turnout was about 8,000-10,000 “marchers”. Much more entertaining to watch than the BLM types, especially the interviews as to their conspiracy theories, Even more innovative than some of the more outlandish stuff over in the CR. “Thousand of busloads of illegal immigrants being bused by the Dems from polling location to polling location voting many times under different names”.
Hey Yeshiva World, how about just report facts and leave your opinion out of it. His supporters “falsely assert” the election was stolen. How about 74 million people believe that the democrats stole the election at 4 in the morning after shutting down the vote counting when Trump was way ahead. Trump won Florida and Ohio by significant margins, he doubled his vote totals from 2016 amongst blacks and Hispanics, and set a world record for total number of votes received….but no. They found just enough votes, all for Biden, in the wee morning hours the next day to make Biden the all time vote getter. Who in their right mind believes 78 million people voted for Biden? Every vote cast and every vote counting machine needs to be investigated in every state. Wouldn’t be surprised if trump actually won CA and/or NY. We assume he has no chance there, but worth investigating.

And why no mention of the disgusting violence and thuggery by the Democrat Party’s terrorist wing, Antifa/BLM, against helpless peaceful protesters? During the event they were outnumbered and didn’t dare do anything, but as soon as it was over and people dispersed to leave, they terrorized and beat people and threw missiles and explosives, and generally behaved like the animals they are, while the police were under orders to let them. Eventually the Proud Boys started fighting back and coming to the rescue of the victims; kudos to them for stepping in where the police refused to. And let nobody dare call them antisemites or white supremacists.
