Israel: Higher Education Budget Approved

shekelThe budget for Israel’s higher education was approved for the 5774 scholastic year, 9.9 billion NIS.

The Council for Higher Education reports that 308,335 students will be starting classes next week when the new academic year begins; which includes 236,000 BA students and 59,000 MA students.

In Israel, higher education always begins after the Tishrei Yomim Tovim, permitting staff and students to avoid a conflict between studies and the holy days.
