Why did Trump lose?
He got so many votes in 2016. what happened to make so many people change their minds about Trump and suddenly vote Biden? Didn’t trump do so many good things? He kept all his promises, he has done things no resident has done before. What happened to all the Trump supporters that changed to Democrat?November 11, 2020 6:55 pm at 6:55 pm #1919112ujmParticipantTrump got over five million more votes in 2020 than in 2016.
If not for covid-19 he would have clearly won. Even though the United States did better or as good in the fight against covid than most of Europe.
November 11, 2020 7:48 pm at 7:48 pm #1919110☕️coffee addictParticipantWithheld,
The easy answer is Trump got 71 million votes, more than he got in 2016 so he increased his voters
The problem is that people liked Biden more than Hillary (they voted for Biden but didn’t vote at all in 2016
November 11, 2020 7:48 pm at 7:48 pm #1919119GadolhadorahParticipant“Why did Trump lose”??
Search the YWN archives for the past 3.5 years for every thread with Trump’s name on it. If still in doubt, we can arrange a private therapy session with some of the CR naviim who predicted this outcome for the past several months.November 11, 2020 7:49 pm at 7:49 pm #1919121Ex-CTLawyerParticipant@UJM
Holder of a cracked Crystal Ball. You have no idea what would of happened if…..
Stop making excuses for the loser. He is a reprehensible person and was rejected by the electorate.
November 11, 2020 8:32 pm at 8:32 pm #1919135ujmParticipantCTL: He absolutely was not rejected by the electorate:
1. The election was very close.
2. He GAINED votes over last time.
3. He gained the LARGEST portion of black and hispanic voters of any Republican presidential candidate in the last SIXTY YEARS.
4. He will remain a large power in American politics for years to come regardless of who wins this election.
5. He is literally loved by tens of millions of Americans.November 11, 2020 8:33 pm at 8:33 pm #1919138tamParticipantFirst of all CTLAWYER, even according to the Fake News reporting which includes alleged fraud,
the president received almost HALF of the total vote – hardly a “rejection” by the electorate.Secondly, how in the world do you know what kind of a person Joe is? Was Bill Clinton NOT a “reprehensible” person?
Thirdly, if you really a lawyer, you should learn how to spell. The expression is “what would HAVE happened”
November 11, 2020 8:33 pm at 8:33 pm #1919143akupermaParticipantTrump was rude and insulted many people. Based on the returns in congressional and state elections, and referenda (even California voted for conservative positions on affirmative action, labor laws and taxes), the Republicans would have won based on ideology. Trump’s thoughtless twittering and vulgarity was the difference.
November 11, 2020 9:20 pm at 9:20 pm #1919151Amil ZolaParticipantHis rudeness was on full display today. He couldn’t arrive at the wreath laying ceremony on time, the eleventh hour of the eleventh day and would not bow his head in respect to the fallen. Oh and then there was his ever inappropriate salute, as a civilian his hand should have been over his heard. Small beans for many of you but for those of us who have family members who have served, some of whom made the ultimate sacrifice, his behavior was crass to say the least. Hmm and last year our fallen were losers.
November 11, 2020 9:38 pm at 9:38 pm #1919158tamParticipantTo Mr. Zola,
I think the real “losers” are the ones who believe every single leak from disgruntled former (Obama administration holdover) low level White House staffers.
November 11, 2020 9:38 pm at 9:38 pm #1919157🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantwow! It doesn’t cease to amaze me how much time and focus you spend on trump and everything he does. Between you and GH you probably spend more time ogling over him than any friend of mine who voted for him. Don’t you think there are better uses for your time?
November 11, 2020 11:20 pm at 11:20 pm #19191741ParticipantBecause the democrats rigged the election. For 4 years democrats refused to accept the results of the 2016 election. Donald Trump has the right to drag this out until January.
November 11, 2020 11:20 pm at 11:20 pm #19191751ParticipantThe media doesn’t declare the Presidency
November 12, 2020 12:03 am at 12:03 am #1919184jackkParticipantI will be so happy after Jan 20, 2021 when I don’t have to read anything else in the CR or YWN about President Trump and we can discuss President Biden.
Trump will completely lose his false image of being a winner and he will have no power left.
Anyone who does not realize that this is what is going to happen is divorced from reality because they listen to and read too much fake news.
November 12, 2020 1:27 am at 1:27 am #1919199skripkaParticipantI’m not going to join the argument as to whether or not he was a meanie or a victim of horrible bias blah blah blah.. Simply put, Trump lost because of the pandemic and because a majority of the country hated him with a passion. I also don’t get why so many people find it so hard to understand either. In 2016, Trump ran against possibly the most reviled person in modern political history, and barely squeaked out a win in 3 states, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, to gain the presidency. All conspiracy theories about Biden being a mental case aside, he was well liked and did a fantastic job at portraying himself as everyday Joe. That meant that the few people on the fence preferred him over Trump, viewing him as a candidate who would bring normalcy. That coupled with the fact that most people 25-30 and younger will kneejerk vote democrat, meant that Trump had to run a perfect campaign, something he is pretty much incapable of, considering the almost daily political stumbles he has..
November 12, 2020 6:31 am at 6:31 am #19192511ParticipantSo explain why in the battleground states they found just enough mail in ballots to give Biden the lead, some of which took 3 days.
November 12, 2020 6:35 am at 6:35 am #1919235Abba_SParticipantBiden didn’t win the presidency the NON Trump won. Even before Trump was sworn in the Democrats and the media were trying to get rid of him. Even members of his own party were actively campaigning against him and yet he got more votes than any prior president in the history of this country. His high disapproval rating plus Covid-19 deaths and the poor economy due to the shutdown were major factors in his loss.
The question should be can Biden govern. The Democrats lost the senate, the best they can hope for is a 50 50 split but that only if they win both of the Georgia seats which is highly unlikely In the House of Representatives as of now Democrats have 218 seats the bare minimum to control the House with 15 races undecided.
While Biden may have won the presidency it’s going to be very hard for him to get his legislation passed if he can’t control Congress.November 12, 2020 9:38 am at 9:38 am #1919292akupermaParticipantThe strongest evidence against fraud is the lack of a “Blue wave”. The Democrats did very poorly in the congressional elections, in state elections and in referenda. In the past, ballot stuffers never split their tickets. It defied belief to think the Democrats “stole” the presidential election, will giving away meaningful control of the Congress and state legislatures in order to cover their tracks.
November 12, 2020 10:10 am at 10:10 am #1919311hujuParticipantNo one on this thread has suggested that Trump lost because Hashem wanted him to lose.
November 12, 2020 10:34 am at 10:34 am #1919318ujmParticipanthuju: You’re absolutely correct. If Biden won it is only because Hashem wanted him to win. It is equally true (without comparing the two situations, rather just to make the larger point) that the winner of the 1933 elections in Germany won because Hashem wanted him to win.
November 12, 2020 12:39 pm at 12:39 pm #1919340se2015ParticipantIs there a collective bechira?
November 12, 2020 12:40 pm at 12:40 pm #1919341Old Crown HeightsParticipantAt every stop on the campaign trail Trump promised a vaccine was coming out very soon. 70 Million Americans cheered and chanted ‘we love you.’ The corrupt media, big tech, Democrats, academics mocked the President and his 70 million supporters. They insisted Trump was delusional and a pathological liar. They convinced many people to vote against him. A week after the election Pfizer announced the vaccine. Has one person admitted they were wrong or lied about Trump’s great work to fast track a vaccine? The swamp may have denied the American people their best president in recent memory. They cheated the 70 million who voted for him and hoodwinked many into opposing him. It’s not over yet. There is still a chance the correct person will be inaugurated.
November 12, 2020 12:43 pm at 12:43 pm #1919361charliehallParticipant“He is a reprehensible person and was rejected by the electorate.”
And that says it all. The man who cared more about his personal fortune and political future than a deadly pandemic lost by over five million votes. We should all be rejoicing. That so many frum Jews are continuing to support such a moral degenerate does not make orthodox Judaism look like a moral religion.
November 12, 2020 12:44 pm at 12:44 pm #1919365Amil ZolaParticipantI think the easiest way to get the President to leave the WH after all the recounts are done is to tell him his concession speech will deliver the highest ratings known to mankind.
November 12, 2020 3:04 pm at 3:04 pm #1919405hujuParticipantTo ujm: I did not say that Trump lost because Hashem wanted it. I said that no one on this thread offered that as an explanation.
No less an authority than the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneersohn, said the connection between Hashem’s will and the Holocaust is extremely complicated, maybe too much for us to understand.
November 12, 2020 6:21 pm at 6:21 pm #1919455Reb EliezerParticipantHe only cares for himself getting rid of his best advisers and cabinet members who don’t agree with him unwilling to listen to an opposing view.
November 13, 2020 7:53 am at 7:53 am #1919521se2015Participant“The strongest evidence against fraud is the lack of a “Blue wave”. “
Never trumpers claim this shows the impact they had on the election. Trump lost support among white educated voters compared to last election. If enough of those educated voters voted against trump this time, but still voted Republican down ticket in close elections, that could explain a Biden win without a blue wave.
November 13, 2020 7:54 am at 7:54 am #1919525charliehallParticipant“They insisted Trump was delusional and a pathological liar.”
He is indeed both delusional and a pathological liar.
” A week after the election Pfizer announced the vaccine. Has one person admitted they were wrong or lied about Trump’s great work to fast track a vaccine?”
The lie was by Mike Pence, trying to take credit for the fast track of the vaccine. Pfizer did a rare thing for a corporation and turned down the government money. It developed the vaccine on its own without government help in partnership with its German partner company Biontech. Pfizer did not participate in Warp Speed.
If it really works, the vaccine is a huge success for Capitalism, Globalism, and Immigration. (Pfizer was founded by immigrants to the US and Biontech by children of Turkish immigrants to Germany.)
Conservatives used to love free market capitalism. Then came Trump.
November 13, 2020 12:20 pm at 12:20 pm #1919643Amil ZolaParticipantUnfortunately the release of this fast tracked vaccine under Operation Warp Speed is likely to be delayed due to the current administrations refusal to cooperate with the normal process of transition. More lives will be lost. Let’s not forget that the US is #1 in Covid cases. Hospitals are once again finding their ICUs filled to capacity and morgue trucks are in short supply in several states and elective surgeries have been cancelled.
November 13, 2020 1:48 pm at 1:48 pm #1919659Reb EliezerParticipantPeople realized that the emperor has no clothes.
November 13, 2020 1:48 pm at 1:48 pm #1919664Reb EliezerParticipantThere is Hungarian saying, the pitcher goes to the well until it breaks. I think a pitcher can break easily.
You can’t fool all the people all the time.November 13, 2020 2:11 pm at 2:11 pm #1919675ujmParticipantThe United States is doing better or as good in that fight against covid-19 than most western/European democracies.
America came out with a covid-19 vaccine in a historically record timeframe.
Thank you President Trump!
November 14, 2020 11:29 pm at 11:29 pm #1919819Old Crown HeightsParticipantSomehow in NYC where there was no need to meddle in the vote count, Trump picked up a lot of votes. Same thing in Los Angeles county where Trump picked up 200,000 votes over 2016. No fraud massive vote gain for Trump. Same thing in every battleground state IN-PERSON voting. But somehow people who vote by mail in battle ground states manage to vote in unheard of numbers for the Democrat. Not likely. Stolen election – likely.
Trump promises vaccine coming out very soon. Democrats say he’s lying and delusional. Vaccine comes out as promised. Democrats: you see we told you he was pathologically lying. Huh?
November 15, 2020 3:33 pm at 3:33 pm #1919958GadolhadorahParticipantThe next Tweetlach from our fearless leader:
“OUR great vaccines should go first to those who can PROVE they voted for ME (at least once). Only if there are any doses left over or beyond the expiration date, should those CROOKED, ANTIFA LOVING, AMERICA HATING Dems, be offered an opportunity to be vaccinated with my magic cure vaccine that will make the China Virus disappear” .November 15, 2020 6:07 pm at 6:07 pm #1920029JacobLevParticipantTrump told his followers to vote in person because vote by mail is a fraud. Democrats voted by mail early and in large numbers. The in person ballots were counted first which showed Trump ahead. The vote by mail ballots were counted later and were mostly Democratic.
November 15, 2020 10:39 pm at 10:39 pm #1920094zahavasdadParticipantTrump lost because of 3 reasons, In no particualr Order
1. Corona …People did not think he really cared about it.
2. Personal Behavior / Tweeting . People didnt really like his personal behavior, the insuilts, the tweets
3. Mail Voting There was no fraud with Mail voting, but mail voting is easier than in person voting, It takes 5 mins and you dont have to stand on line to vote for hours. Trump claimed this was a fraud instead of telling his supporters to mail in vote, The dems encouraged people to vote by mail and these were banked votesNovember 16, 2020 9:22 am at 9:22 am #1920136WithheldParticipantThe 4th reason why Trump lost is because of voter fraud.
November 17, 2020 10:59 am at 10:59 am #1920489Reb EliezerParticipantAnother reason is the downturn in the economy directly related to the downplayng of the corona qnd the stock mqrket is not the economy.
