President Trump again claimed victory in the presidential race on Thursday. At the same time, he accused his critics and the media of stealing the election from him.
Hundreds of thousands of legally cast votes have yet to be counted in several states, and there is not yet a winner in the race between Trump and Joe Biden.
Mr. Trump spoke Thursday evening from the White House, the first time that he has addressed the public since his remarks in the early hours of Wednesday morning after election night. His campaign has brought or threatened lawsuits in several closely contested states in an attempt to stop the the counting of votes it is disputing.
“If you count the legal votes I easily win,” Trump said, providing no evidence for his claim. “If you count the illegal votes, they can try to steal the election from us.”
Trump said he was advocating for a halt in counting of “votes that came in late,” and went on to tout races that had already been called for him.
“I’ve already decisively won many critical states, including massive victories,” he claimed.
Vice President Mike Pence tweeted shortly after Mr. Trump wrapped that he “stands” with the president. “We must count every LEGAL vote,” Pence wrote.

Because of the verkakte way we disseminate results (and the Pennsylvania legislature’s refusal to allow pre-canvassing), the votes that are going to *appear* to put Biden over the top in Pennsylvania—and, thus, in the election—were almost certainly some of the earliest ones cast.- steve vladeck

That is not journalism. They don’t know that he is lying. A proper newspaper writes Trump alleges. The NY Times has become a leftist propaganda rag.

Has any president in recent memory worked more tirelessly for the country both in the domestic or the foreign arena? Has any president done more for Israel. Has any president been more physically in contact with all the 50 states? While his flaws may arguably be great how do the compare to those of many of his predecessors? His middos are awful to say the least but he never learned Mesilas Yesharim and Chovas Halevavos nor does he have to. He had great accomplishments and overall he did great things. Compare and contrast those accomplishments to those of his almost certain successor who spent 47 years in DC. They pale in comparison to be kind! Sad day for America!
That Trump is virtually tied in Georgia suggests the problem is vote theft, but Trump himself. It is very hard to steal election when the other party controls the election machinery, and Georgia’s state government is solid red.
Also note that overall, the local Republicans ran better than Trump, and in fact the Democrats are deeply disappointed over having failed to take command of the Senate (in spite of having a disproportionate number of Republicans running for reelection), and having lost seats in the House. Also the very important referendums in California (on affirmative action, and on the “gig” economy) all went “red” in spite of California being super-blue. The lesson from the election is the Trump was a “drag” on the Republicans, but not for reasons of ideology, and that the Democrats flirtation with socialism helps the Republicans.

in some of the swing states the republicans had a few 100 person lead in the senate race and was 20,000 behind in the pres race but only after 11 pm did this happen

Trump has worked tirelessly??
Check out his calendar (readily available online). He’s spent 30% of the presidency at his own resorts. He regularly goes 3 days straight without a single scheduled event.
The only thing he’s done “tirelessly” was hold rallies throughout his presidency. Something no other president or leader of a democracy seems to do.
It is something dictators and authoritarians do.

I think you’ll find since becoming president, Trump has never visited the states of Idaho, Wyoming, Oregon, Washington and Arkansas.
