Once again, the Socialist Mayor of NYC, the Honorable Bill DeBlasio showed his true colors as the hypocrite he has always been.
On Motzei Shabbos, a video went viral on social media of an NYPD vehicle using their loudspeaker saying “Trump 2020.”
“Take a picture, take a picture, take a video, put it on your Facebook, put it on your YouTube,” the officer adds.
On Sunday morning, the Mayor was quick to take to Twitter to say “Let me be clear: ANY NYPD Officer pushing ANY political agenda while on duty will face consequences. We will act fast here, and this will not be tolerated.”
But DeBlasio never said anything when the The highest-ranking uniformed member of the NYPD, Chief of Department Terence Monahan took a knee to show his support for Black Lives Matters protesters at Washington Square Park in Manhattan.
Mayor de Blasio spokesman Bill Neidhardt said an investigation launched Sunday will be completed by the end of the day.
“We will have quick consequences today that will send a clear message,” Neidhardt said.

Regardless if you support President Trump or former Vice President Biden, yu are supporting “a(ny) political agenda.” Supporting BLM is seen as supporting the American way, democracy at its best, freedom of expression for all, civil rights for all. What political platform or party would not be for that? Therefore the NYPD would not be banned form standing strong with BLM. It’s quite simple actually.
Now how freedom of speech / expression and freedom to practice ones religion got separated is a different question, but is not the topic of the above piece Supporting a political party, platform, or agenda, is out-of-bounds for a “nutural” government official, such as a police officer. Supporting a poliical candidate is a totaly differet beast.
This is why civics lessons are so important! One of the cornerstones of American democracy are the apolitical military, judicial, and law enforcement. A judge cannot wear a MAGA hat or a Biden hat while in court, same with military and law enforcement while on duty. However, BLM (whatever your opinion of it may be) is completely different because it is a protest movement and NOT a political party.
It’s different.
Trump is a political candidate, running in an election.
Supporting “Black Lives Matter” is social messaging, not an endorsement of a particular candidate.
And there is a difference between an officer’s joining hands to make a social statement versus using his police vehicle to tell people whom to vote for.
Police officers and even most police chiefs around the United States have joined black protesters in solidarity, taking a knee together with them.
Only frum trump supporters have a problem wrapping their thick heads around what this means.

Deblassio is 1,000,000% wrong, but in his worldview, BLM is not political.
He is not a hypocrite! He says he wants to crush his enemies, and that is the policy. He is consistent and honest about it.
The frum Jews who spent years trying to get government money, and not realize it meant they were expected to give up their politically incorrect beliefs (e.g. HaShem created the world, Torah and Mitsvos, etc.) were fools.
And no masks required nor social distancing required either when supporting BLM… There’s no “fear” for covid-19 spread at BLM protests only when Jews are praying and when our kids go to school… Neither Coumo, nor DeBlasio, nor the Jewish Jew-haters calling Jews who don’t conform fully to the hypocritical dictators’ rules, “rodfim”, have any issues with the double standards and discrimination against us. HYPOCRITES!

DeBlasio has always been a hypocrite, and I will go out on a limb with this, but I believe that he is anti-semitic.
DiBlasio is a national joke. His political career is going to end once his term runs out because he has nothing left to run for – he’ll never be elected to another public office in New York. He doesn’t have anything to lose so he does whatever he wants.
This police officer who is kneeling looks frightened, like a deer caught in the headlights. He doesn’t seem too happy to have to bend to the new law and order of these socialist, communist, extreme left, vulgar, and violent rioters.
The police chief was not “supporting blm”. He was doing his part to calm the people who were destroying and vandalizing the city with riots. After he stood up from kneeling he announced, “this is our city, with our businesses and our jobs. Tell the people destroying our city to go home.” The crowd cheered. He was trying to change public sentiment. He was doing his job (effectively!) as a law enforcer. That’s different than “supporting blm”. This picture and message on ywn is taken out of context.
