Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Wednesday that coronavirus control measures will increase in Brooklyn’s “red zone” while parts of Queens will see their restrictions eased two weeks after the measures were first put in place.
“When we see progress, we adjust the target,” the governor said.
- In Brooklyn, the red zone remains a red zone and will see increased virus control measures; the orange zone moves to a yellow zone; and the yellow zone remains a yellow zone.
Brooklyn’s orange zone areas will move to yellow zones, which allows schools to reopen with mandatory weekly testing, while its yellow zone areas will remain that way.
- In Far Rockaway, Queens, the red zone moves to a yellow zone; the orange zone moves to a yellow zone; and the yellow zone remains a yellow zone.
- In Kew Garden Hills/Forest Hills, Queens, the red zone moves to a yellow zone; the orange zone moves to a yellow zone; and the yellow zone remains a yellow zone.
- Ozone Park will now become a yellow zone amid an uptick in cases, Cuomo said.
- In Rockland County, the red zone remains a red zone and the yellow zone remains a yellow zone.
- In Orange County, the red zone remains a red zone and the yellow zone remains a yellow zone.
Meanwhile, a reporter asked Governor Cuomo if he wants to apologize to Orthodox community facing strict enforcement of social distancing. Expect a big ‘but’ in the answer: ‘I’m sorry they are going through this, but I think I have communicated more with the people of this state more than any Governor in the history of the state of NY. It goes without saying that Cuomo was lying when he said he will redo the red zone by a block by block basis.
And of course non-Jews areas with an uptick in Corona don’t become red zones. Even Ozone Park only becomes yellow.

If these restriction were really saving so many lives that how come places like Williamsburg or Lakewood which social media told us two weeks ago was rampant with Corona and people ignoring the rules doesn’t seem to be having any worse consequences from Corona than the neighborhoods subject to this targeted harassment?

A CDC update Wednesday says individuals are more likely to survive the coronavirus after contracting it. The health agency says if you have the virus between the ages of 0 to 70, you have a 99% survival rate. And if you’re over 70, the survival rate is nearly 95%.
Gov. Ron DeSantis also tweeted about the update, saying people in the age groups of 0 to 19 have a 99.997% chance of survival if they contract COVID-19, the age group of 20 to 49 a 99.98% chance, 50 to 69 years old 99.5% and 70 years old and above a 94.6% chance.
There is no mention as to when the easing of restrictions take effect. Besides, the numbers were published as early as this past Sunday. Why did they have to wait until Wednesday to announce it?

There are large teams of inspectors going around to every store they judge non-essential and closing them up with a summons and fine.
This is a group (approximately 10) of people comp[osed of all genders and ethnicities. There are even two who dug their yarmulkes out of a trash heap and are presenting themselves as orthodox. Not one is dressed in a professional manner and appear as if they were picked up on street corners. If this represents Cuomo’s inspection force his problems are much more serious than Covid.
Based on this it should not surprise anyone that he is billions of dollars in the red and if Trump wins he is totally screwed.
He can write books and stand on a soapbox and scream his own praises. He still remains complicit in the deaths of thousands of nursing home residents and a very obvious bigot.
There are great meds and vitamins out there and they work for most people. Anyone who is in ka position were his /her health is compromised should stay home regardless. The ruthless murderers who are not letting doctors give meds for this should be severly prosecuted. For those of you shivvering in fear, there are places and docs where you can get meds and of course vitamins you can get all over.

As long as the authorities decree that they require weekly testing or else they shut the schools, there has been no real change. This arbitrary and evil targeting of the Jews is just that: arbitrary and evil.
Cuomo said 10 day average, but then showed slides of past 7 days averages, probably didn’t want us to see the 10 days averages.
For those who don’t want false positives (or any positives): Flush your nose out well with a saline solution or spray before the test, and it will come out negative.
I have heard many times that people who weren’t even tested got a positive test result. I don’t believe in being tested at all, even if you’re not feeling well, then stay home and wait until you’re better. You don’t get tested every time you have the flu or a bad cold and at this time, I don’t think Covid is so dangerous.
Cuomo only cares what his audience of 64M ppl across the globe have to say. And how his image gets gets across to them. But he can’t be bothered with watching his citizens suffer from his harassments right in front of his nose.
Lets hope there are still righteous lawyers out there that will fight our case.

One solution would be to adjust the cycle threshold used now to decide that a patient is infected. Most tests set the limit at 40, a few at 37. This means that you are positive for the coronavirus if the test process required up to 40 cycles, or 37, to detect the virus.
Tests with thresholds so high may detect not just live virus but also genetic fragments, leftovers from infection that pose no particular risk — akin to finding a hair in a room long after a person has left, Dr. Mina said.

Its sad, but anti semitism does exist. Cuomo is not shutting down the places that have many cases of coronavirus, because they arent all jewish. Its horrible. He sent out a list of places for inspectors to check, and there were no goyishe places on the whole list. Whether coronavirus is dangerous for most people or not is a discussion for a different time. Stevenn, I hope you are joking. I really do. First of all, there are so many cases of coronavirus in so many different places, but cuomo isnt shutting them down because they are not frum communities. Second, we both know the chareidim are not following the guidelines any better because of cuomos rules. the only difference is that they are paying fines for it. Is this any safer??? The Brooklyn flareup could have derailed his plans, so he took an aggressive approach, which can also be perceived by the nation as a strong leader.
