Ashdod resident Shimon Weisenstern Z”L, in his 50s, died suddenly on Shabbos while visiting relatives in the United States.
He went to sleep on Friday night feeling fine but did not awaken in the morning. A physician who arrived on the scene pronounced him dead.
Weisenstern z”l was a well-known personality in Ashdod, among the first chareidim to settle in the city and an active community member. He battled cancer for a prolonged period of time. He is survived by a wife and ten children, some of them still unmarried. The aron was flown to Erez Yisroel for kvura, scheduled to arrive in Eretz Yisroel early Monday morning.

If I am not mistaken, a few years ago, his brother, who was a choshuver avrech in Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim was nifter in a simmilar situation. May the family have a nechama.
